A sustainable, low-cost solution combining Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) with Water Treatment System (WTS) to address water scarcity in rural Nepal.

In rural Nepal, water scarcity disproportionately affects women and girls, forcing them to spend hours fetching water—especially during dry seasons—often at the cost of health and education. The lack of clean water also heightens vulnerability to waterborne diseases, especially during monsoons and public health emergencies like COVID-19. Addressing this critical issue, our project in Palapu, Champadevi Rural Municipality (Ward 2), Okhaldhunga introduces a sustainable, low-cost solution: Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) combined with a Water Treatment System (WTS).
